I have never experienced that, but about 5 years ago my wife did. She remembers him as having a very handsome face, not too white nor too dark. He had a white cloth on his head. She remembers asking him when the day of judgment will be; and his answer was that only Allah knows the answer.
She then told him that she would love to hear him recite the Qur’an. He recited a few verses, she does not recall from which sura. She said that his recitation was nothing like any of the twenty or so Qari’s that we all have in our iPhones. His recitation was more of a simple reading of the verses.
